With this “Come Closer” track featuring Drake, Wizkid is really living up to his “Starboy” status, breaking frontiers and setting heights. The track is not the typical Naija Afro Beats Hip / Hop style but combines elements of Afrobeats with the mainstream Hip Hop to allow the Canadian rapper, Drake, murder the track with his all-familiar lyrical mastery. The video is nothing but perfect, concept-wise and production-wise, except unfortunately that Drake didn’t make it into the video.
This track may go down in history as one of Wizkid’s best performance, and a bit kudos to the producer, Sarz.
